HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Hastings College announced a couple of new coaching changes for the upcoming cross country and track and field season. Ryan Mahoney will transition to director of cross country and track and field and Zac Osgood has been promoted to head track and field coach.
“We are very excited for Zac to take on this leadership role with the track and field programs. He has been a valuable piece of the Hastings College culture both as a coach and as a person,” Athletic Director Chris Clements said.
The change proceeds the announcement of new track renovations that will begin in August at the Jack Osborne Track Complex.
“Obviously, we’re very excited for the update to our outdoor track and field facility. It has been a few years since we’ve been able to have a home track meet, and I know our athletes will be excited about being able to compete on campus again. Otherwise, just like every year I’m excited to get the athletes back on campus and get to work,” Osgood said.
