A new EP by U2, titled Zoo TV – Live In Dublin 1993, has been revealed. Tracks from one of the Irish band’s two renowned outdoor concerts on the tour of the same name are included in the five-song set. Although illicit copies of these performances have been around for a while, this is the first time the shows have been officially released. Interscope Records will release the EP on August 30th on CD, 12″ Vinyl, and digital platforms.

“Zoo Station,” “Mysterious Ways,” “Tryin’ To Throw Your Arms Around the World,” and “Love Is Blindness” from Achtung Baby and Zooropa’s “Stay (Faraway, So Close!)” are among the tracks that can be heard on ZOO TV – Live In Dublin 1993.

The Zoo TV tour was first held in support of U2’s critically acclaimed 1991 album Achtung Baby and ran from February 1992 to December 1993. The band played 157 gigs over 5 legs for 5.3 million spectators during the Zoo TV tour. U2 recorded their eighth studio album, 1993’s Zooropa, during a tour stop. With their grandiose Zoo TV tour, U2 cemented their revolutionary status in arena rock. Zoo TV was a technological marvel that tackled issues of mass media, humanity, and technology while overwhelming audiences with images using multiscreen video projections and live satellite feeds.

The concerts from their hometown stops on August 27 and 28 are featured on the ZOO TV – Live In Dublin 1993 EP. The RDS concert on August 28 was captured on tape and streamed live across the globe on radio. Over 700 million fans are thought to have accepted the band’s offer to “Watch More Radio.”
