Over his career, Neil Diamond recorded dozens of successful singles. Despite the fact that the celebrity is currently retired from most activities owing to health issues, his music is nevertheless hugely beloved worldwide. He has now returned to a significant position in one of the biggest music markets in the world thanks to the continued support of his fans, who continue to buy and stream.

This week, “Sweet Caroline” makes a comeback on the UK song chart. The song returns to the top 55 on the all-genre list of songs that Americans listen to the most, landing at No. 55.

Diamond takes home the highest returning victory this week. This week, just one single that wasn’t on the UK songs chart the previous week manages to come in higher than “Sweet Caroline.” “Tough” by Quavo and Lana Del Rey debuts at No. 32 during this time.

Three more hits make a resurgence as well, but Diamond astoundingly outperforms them all. This week, three songs by Noah Kahan—”You’re Gonna Go Far,” “Vindaloo” by Fat Les, and “I Remember Everything” by Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves—return to the U.K. songs list. However, none of them can top “Sweet Caroline,” which has been in the top spot for decades.
