There have been several outgoings too as the former Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach trimmed his squad by allowing Moussa Niakhate and Orel Mangala to join Lyon, Remo Freuler has made his way to Bologna and goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos has joined Premier League rivals Newcastle. Now there are a few changes in the defensive ranks and possibly the most high profile signing was that of Chelsea’s Levi Colwill, who was secured in a £27m deal in the final hours of the window. He is far from the only new face to arrive after Nuno brought in Rangers youngster Leon King and Getafe’s Uruguayan international Gaston Alvarez for a combined cost of £20m. There were several outgoings from the backline as Andrew Omobamidele joined Ipswich Town in a £1m deal and Ola Aina headed to Rennes in a £6m move.
