The East Midlanders are still looking to make more additions to their squad this summer as Nuno Espirito Santo prepares for his first full season in charge.Nottingham Forest's survival bid predicted in Everton and Leeds battle - Nottinghamshire Live

Forest have just made Jota Silva their sixth signing of the summer and are now eyeing a move for a French defender.

That said, if he does arrive it’d massively improve one of the weakest areas on the pitch.

Nottingham Forest News ran a report last week about the club’s persistence to sign Brest left-back Bradley Locko.

A £13m offer is expected to close the deal for the 22-year-old, who is eager to make the switch to the City Ground this summer.

If Forest do land Locko’s signature, it’d massively improve Nuno’s side as at the moment, Ola Aina and Harry Toffolo are the two options at left-back.

Both are solid but if the East Midlanders are to push up the league and establish themselves as a mid-table side this term, they’ll need to be upgraded and Locko would do just that.

Locko is currently away with France at the Olympics which immediately evinces how highly thought of he is.

The 2002-born has already racked up 79 appearances in Ligue 1, operating as a left-back and a left-midfielder – evincing his terrific versatility which is an increasingly popular trait nowadays.

Forest have added to most of their key areas this summer across their six signings made.

However, the one area which has not been touched is up top with a new striker as Nuno still has the same options at his disposal as he did at the end of last season.
