Tottenham have been in the market for a striker this window having never really replaced Harry Kane last year.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have evidently lacked a focal point and goalscorer, so club chiefs have been searching the market far and wide for a suitable option.
That said, one of the rumoured targets is now attracting interest from Nottingham Forest.
Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez has been well-documented this summer.
The Mexico international is certainly on their radar following his 26-goal haul last year, though, they now face competition from Nottingham Forest.
According to Dutch outlet 1 East Midlanders are set to make an approach for Gimenez as they look to bring in a top-level number nine.
His 26-goal tally last term followed 28 goals the previous season, so evidently he’s a man who knows where the back of the net is.
If Forest do manage to land his £42m signature, it’d be regarded as a real coup.
Gallagher has recently agreed to a five-year contract with Atletico as the Chelsea midfielder inches closer towards joining the Spanish giants, with the England international seemingly set to move to Madrid this summer.
