Could 'volatile' Commanders situation lead to Dan Quinn's demise? On August 19, Dan Quinn, the head coach of the Washington Commanders, spoke to the media. The press conference’s complete transcript can be seen here.

“I felt that the practice he did right before we left for Miami was the finest I had seen from him. Tuesday before our departure that Wednesday. One of his best practices, in my opinion, was his command of it as well as its correctness and details. I had never seen him practice anything better than this. “I wasn’t shocked by it. Though we were eager to see how we would arrive, we knew we would. Having said that, I understood that he was a unique competitor after observing him hit every mark. However, it was interesting to witness it within your own building, among your own coworkers, and around new ones. He’s just made an incredible start to things here, and he has gained the respect of the building’s occupants as well as teammates and coaches. He feels incredibly grateful to be in a group with the quarterbacks and to have the coaches assisting him in his preparation. That is also very important.
