Arsenal acquire England forward Chloe Kelly on loan from Manchester City.**

Kelly, who has only started one WSL match for City this season, released a statement on X expressing her desire to leave in order to boost her chances of securing a place in England’s squad for the European Championship defense in July.
The 27-year-old developed through Arsenal’s academy and was part of the senior team from 2016 to 2018.
Arsenal head coach Renee Slegers commented, “Chloe is an exciting attacking talent and will be a valuable asset to our squad as we enter the second half of the season. She’s direct and dynamic, with remarkable natural skill and ability. We’re all eager to have Chloe with us as an Arsenal player over the next few months.”
Arsenal currently sit fourth in the WSL table, having earned 24 points from 12 games. Their upcoming fixtures include a league match against Manchester City on Sunday, followed by a Women’s League Cup semi-final clash with the same team on February 7.
