Aston Villa is in difficult negotiations to sign a player that would cost more than £50 million.
This summer, Aston Villa is determined to sign a big name player.

The Villains are still searching for the greatest talent available, even though they have already made eight acquisitions worth a combined £150 million (TM), including Ian Maatsen (£37.5 million) from Chelsea and Amadou Onana (£50 million) from Everton.

Aston Villa is in negotiations to sign Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix.
The Portugal international, who joined Los Colchoneros from Benfica in 2019, is reportedly available for transfer after six turbulent years, including two disappointing loan stints with Chelsea and Barcelona.

The offensive midfielder, who signed a seven-year contract with Atletico for £113 million, is willing to leave the team, which may be good news for Villa, who are rumored to be “locked in talks” to sign the 24-year-old.

The two clubs have discussed a loan move with a mandatory future buy clause included — an agreement

that may appeal to Villa now they will play in the Champions League. A potential deal to bring the playmaker, who was born in Viseu, back to the Premier League is expected to cost Villa upwards of £50 million, with the player’s wages of £250,000-per-week serving as a potential obstacle.
