Philadelphia Phillies coach set to offer long-term contracts to Cody Bellinger, with a deal expected to exceed $200 million…………

Seattle Mariners are reportedly interested in free-agent slugger Rhys Hoskins.

Rhys Hoskins, a free agent after seven years with the Philadelphia Phillies, is expected to have a robust market due to the shortage of top bats in free agency. He is not expected to return to the Phillies as Bryce Harper has been named the team’s everyday first baseman. The Seattle Mariners have shown interest in Hoskins, as they have traded Eugenio Suárez and Jarred Kelenic this offseason, and the expectation is that slugging outfielder Teoscar Hernández will depart in free agency. With Ty France at first base, Hoskins would likely be more of a DH for the Mariners. The Chicago Cubs are also in contact with the free-agent slugger’s camp, represented by mega-agent Scott Boras and the Boras Corporation. The two sides have discussed potential deals for both one year and multiple years. The Athletic reports that the Cubs see Hoskins as a “good fit” for their roster.

Rhys Hkinsos is a beloved Phillies player who deserves respect for his efforts in the World Series. However, the team’s treatment of Hoskins as a half-assess player and treating him as a half-ass player is a mistake. Hoskins’ love for the team and his dedication to the team should be rewarded, not cut for a player who wants to play first base. The team should respect and use Hoskins, ensuring he gets to the World Series with a team that respects him.
