Tottenham is reportedly interested in signing a new center-back, with Marc Guehi and Radu Dragusin being considered as potential options for the upcoming transfer window. Piero Hincapie may also be considered. TeamTalk reports that Spurs are also tracking interest from Newcastle and Liverpool, who have been struggling with injuries this season. Newcastle’s Sven Botman is recovering, while Liverpool is in need of more defenders due to Joel Matip’s recent loss.

Premier League clubs Leverkusen and Manchester City are facing a difficult deal for defender Edmond Tapsoba and Odilon Kossounou. Leverkusen is keen to retain Hincapie’s services in January, while Tapsoba and Kossounou are set to leave for the Africa Cup of Nations. The club has added a £60m release clause to the player’s contract, making it unlikely that Hincapie will go for less than the set price. However, the player’s recent interest in leaving could help push the deal through.

Hincapie, a experienced left-footer with a desire to leave, has only appeared in eight matches this season. Tottenham needs to sign a new center-back this window, and Hincapie, who has played in 27 league games in the 21/22 and 30 in 22/23 seasons, could be the ideal candidate.
