JUSTN IN: 11 winners and 3 losers from the Chiefs’ regular-season finale.

There were moments when it was entertaining to watch the Kansas City Chiefs’ Sunday afternoon game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The preseason game for the postseason went largely as planned. Three objectives were set. The first step was to provide each man with his unique data and the corresponding salary. Completed. Observing some indications of advancement from some younger players was the second. Likewise completed. The third was to get out of there unharmed. Yes, but perhaps not so much.

A couple of huge plays, another solid defensive effort, and a few field goals were made. The Chiefs ultimately won 11-6 and appeared to be enjoying themselves.

Mecole Hardman, a wide receiver, led the team not only in targets but also in receptions, yards, and yards per catch. Along with displaying a postseason-worthy sprint after the grab, he also demonstrated some genuine fight for contested catches. Indeed, a few errors, including hesitating on a route that was ultimately intercepted and stepping out before another great catch, may have limited some of the excitement around Hardman’s performance. However, if he’s producing big plays, it might be acceptable to endure some setbacks in addition to the positives.

Chris Jones, a defensive lineman: Money is undoubtedly what drives Jones, and his teammates undoubtedly want to see him thrive.

The remaining defensive linemen: Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Tershawn Wharton, Neil Farrell, B.J. Thompson, and Malik Herring: The Kansas City defense was excellent once more, despite the absence of a few starters. These players each had a batted pass, sack, quarterback hit, or tackle-for-loss. They all seized the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, and the outcomes were really encouraging.

Security Mike Edwards: During Kansas City’s season, the fifth-year veteran made the longest play. Following a forced fumble by Charles Omenihu, Edwards was able to run 97 yards for a touchdown. The big play on Sunday won’t take away from the reputation of the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety, who is recognized for having a nose for the game.

Cam Jones, a rookie linebacker, had a lengthy audition and showed up by being everywhere on the field. It appeared as though Jones belonged on an NFL field with his 12 tackles, 11 of which were solo.

Travis Kelce, tight end: The fact that our favorite celebrity partner failed to reach 1,000 yards for an incredible eighth consecutive season made us a little sad. However, the week of recuperation may have been more important than the 16 yards he needed in the big picture. Sam LaPorta, a young tight end for the Detroit Lions, suffered a knee injury on Sunday. This season, LaPorta and Kelce’s numbers were (very) comparable, and the rookie tight end’s injury might be quite costly for both of them (as well as their team).

The Chiefs offensive line depth chart: Most of their veterans are sitting on the bench because they don’t want to see injuries during a game like this one. Nevertheless, in these games, the offensive line usually plays; all you can do is hope. The Chiefs suffered injuries to both of their starting tackles, which is unfortunate. Jawaan Taylor had a leg injury, and Wanya Morris suffers a concussion. Hopefully, none of the injuries will prevent them from playing in the postseason.

Justyn Ross, the game’s most anticipated wide receiver, only managed two catches for 17 yards on four targets during his extended opportunity. He even performed an amazing play in which he went up and gained a high.
