Seahawks' Pete Carroll reveals his plans for 2024

Carroll declared on Monday that he will coach the Seahawks once more in 2024.

He declared to Seattle Sports, “I intend to coach his group. I adore these guys, as I have mentioned. And that’s what I intend to accomplish, along with seeing how far you can get.”

NFL Network reports that Carroll’s deal has an option year that would extend his contract through the 2025 season in addition to running through the 2024 season.

“I’m not exhausted. I’m not worn out. “I’m not that person,” he continued. “I have to work harder, support my coaches more, and together, we must improve as a coaching team. There is much room for development.”

For the second consecutive season, the Seahawks ended 9-8, but they were unable to catch up to the San Francisco 49ers at the top of the NFC West, hence they were not eligible for the postseason. The division-winning Niners and the 10-7 Los Angeles Rams, who qualified for the postseason, both swept Seattle.

Carroll is prepared to go on to the process of healing that rift by making offseason choices that he believes will help guarantee his 73rd season is.
