JUST IN:Newcastle and Aston Villa in contact with 30-year-old star’s agents ‘in last few hours’ – Release clause expires soon.

Aston Villa and Newcastle United are among the teams scouring the market to see if any deals are possible because several release clauses are about to expire in the coming days.

Paulo Dybala is one of the players whose contract contains such information; Corriere della Sera has the most recent information on the Argentine’s circumstances in Rome.

The fact that his €13 million release clause for international clubs “will expire on January 15th” suggests that things are tight at AS Roma.

As a result, there has been a good deal of movement surrounding the player. In the “last few hours,” Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle have all approached to get information from Dybala’s agents.

They are not alone, though, as other Saudi teams are scouting the market in an attempt to entice yet another superstar to play in their league—though that seems improbable given the player’s desire to remain in Europe.
This gives and Aston Villa more options, but ultimately it will be up to Dybala, who has until January 15th to make his final decision about his future.
