JUST IN: Seahawks next coach odds: Heavy favorite emerges to replace Pete Carroll.

Is Dan Quinn destined to be the next Seahawks coach?

It seems that scoring 48 points in an NFL playoff elimination game is sufficient to earn a promotion, based on the latest odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

Dan Quinn (-240), the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, is the clear favorite to succeed Pete Carroll as the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. Carroll served in that capacity from 2010 to 23.

It’s no secret that Seattle set Quinn up for an interview as soon as Dallas’ season unexpectedly ended, with the intention of hiring him as their coach.

Ben Johnson (+550), the offensive coordinator for the Lions, is a strong contender this summer. He has long been regarded as a play-calling genius in Detroit. Quinn is followed by Johnson.

Quinn’s interest from the Seahawks has long been anticipated, but given.

Dan Quinn was the Seahawks defensive coordinator in 2013.

The Packers blasted Quinn’s defense Sunday, as quarterback Jordan Love threw only five incompletions on 21 passes with three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Green Bay also made their will known early as they got Aaron Jones heavily involved in the offense, taking 21 carries for 118 yards and three touchdowns in their 48-32 win.

Quinn also had significant success with the Seahawks in the past as the defensive coordinator of their “Legion of Boom” in 2013.

2024 Seattle Seahawks next coach odds

Seattle won the Super Bowl that year, after which Quinn departed for Atlanta to be their head coach.

He was the head coach of the Falcons during their 2016 Super Bowl collapse vs. the Patriots.

Quinn has since moved on to the Cowboys as their defensive coordinator, where he has enjoyed similar success to what he accomplished in Seattle years prior.

He’s a defensive coach whose squad gave up almost 50…at home…in a playoff game. Why would Seattle do this? Geno will not thrive under Dan Quinn.

The Seahawks were very impressed by a guy who blew a 28 point lead in the super bowl, got lit up last week for 48 points, and wears his hat backwards cause the kids all do it.

Have to wonder how some of these owners and GM’s got through school, much less to where they are. Dan Quinn, architect of another Dallas playoff debacle and managed to only prorect leads against .500 teams.

The other fire/hire equally absurd, Saints OC sent packing after a season when Derek Carr did…
