JUST IN: THE YOUNGEST COACH THAT SIGNED IN FOR SIX-YEARS DEAL FOR……….

The new head coach of the Seattle Seahawks is in place.

As Pete Carroll’s replacement, Mike Macdonald of the Baltimore Ravens, the defensive coordinator, has allegedly agreed to a six-year contract that will make him the youngest head coach in the NFL at thirty-six. Many people praised Macdonald for bringing Baltimore’s defense back to the top after it fell to 28th place in DVOA in 2021. The Ravens finished eighth in 2022 and first in 2023 in DVOA after two seasons as the Washington Redskins. In terms of sacks, takeaways, and points allowed, the Ravens defense led the pack.

There is a great deal of hope that Macdonald can replicate his success with the Ravens for the Seahawks, given Seattle’s defense hasn’t played well recently.

The date is January 14, 2012. We are in San Francisco at Candlestick Park. The 49ers need a touchdown with 14 seconds remaining, down three, and facing a third down to maintain their hopes of making the playoffs without having to go to OT. In the meanwhile, the Saints may draw a conclusion from this and move on to the NFC Championship Game. We need to look back in time to comprehend how we got here and to fully appreciate what this moment signifies.

Naturally, Macdonald must assemble his first coaching staff before he can begin to rebuild the defense. This is the place to get all the details on the coaching staff for the 2024 Seahawks as well as the prospects for the 2023 crew. While it’s conceivable that Macdonald may keep some of Pete Carroll’s coaches on staff, it’s more probable that every position will have a fresh group of players.
