A veteran quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks has announced his retirement from the National Football League, just days after Mike Macdonald was named Pete Carroll’s replacement. There was a lot of coaching staff turnover for the Seahawks.

Former Seahawks offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and quarterbacks coach Kerry Joseph were hired by the Chicago Bears to fill the same positions on head coach Matt Eberflus’ staff. Sean Mannion, a former quarterback for the Seahawks, will now face off against Waldron and Joseph.

After nine seasons in the NFL, Sean Mannion is retiring, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN. In order to assist the Green Bay Packers’ passing offense and quarterbacks, Mannion has taken a position with the organization.

Mannion was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The Oregon State graduate made three starts in the NFL. During his tenure in the league, he completed 67/110 passes for 573 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.
