The London Broncos’ problems have become worse due to another significant injury.

Following their tie with Oldham, Mike Eccles has disclosed two more concerns for the London Broncos, adding to the heartbreaking news that emerging star Bill Leyland will miss the entire season earlier in the week.

Speaking on a video that was sent to X, he said, “We’re dealing with injuries right now, which is tough.” That one appears to be quite unfortunate again as we lost Josh Rourke again today. He will need to visit the hospital.

“With his results, Lewis Bienek will also provide us with further outcomes. Although we’re approaching the situation head-on, we won’t be covering people with cotton wool because that isn’t the solution. Put forth more effort is the solution. We don’t do foolish things throughout training, therefore that’s not the cause of our body loss. We’ve had some bad luck.

“We have a ton of work ahead of us. To be honest, we already knew a good deal about where we are. Although it will take some time for us to catch up, the message is clear: this week we’ll be working really hard, we’ll give them the weekend off, and then we’ll prepare for the World Champions.

As previously mentioned, the Broncos will play their first Super League game of the season away against Club World Champions St Helens, who just defeated Salford 52–10.

The London Broncos traveled to League One team Oldham for the 2024 preseason friendly. Seven days prior, the team that traveled to Huddersfield was essentially the same, with the exception of Bill Leyland, who sustained an ACL injury and will now miss the remainder of the campaign.

London appeared certain to win, but the home team was down 18–16 and was all fired up to win. London gave up a penalty not far from the center, at about 20 meters out. It makes sense that Oldham decided to kick for goal and settle for a draw. Tyrer was the one with the duty, and he fulfilled it admirably, even the score with nearly the final play of the afternoon.
