JUST IN: Rugby League Coach Just Sign They Last Signing On This Key Player………

Super League team probably going to finalize big deal right away

The recently promoted Super League team London Broncos traveled to League One team Oldham for the last preseason friendly of 2024. Seven days prior, the team that traveled to Huddersfield was essentially the same, with the exception of Bill Leyland, who sustained an ACL injury and will now miss the remainder of the campaign.

Shortly after the fifth minute, Meadows broke the stalemate by sprinting onto an Oli Leyland grubber, simply getting his hands on it and applying downward pressure. As Leyland’s conversion was a formality and the six points were assured, the try was under the posts.

Castleford Tigers: Ellis back and looking forward to success

In sharp contrast to the first two friendly, when it took some time to settle in, London had a tremendously strong start to the match. Soon after, the Broncos crossed the goal line once more. This time, Iliess Macani scored the try with a deft move to the left and a well placed throw from Rourke. Rourke missed the kick on the touchline from a really challenging angle.

Oldham started to fight back. When the excellent Cian Tyrer met a kick through to score the try, it came as no great surprise. Next, Jamie Ellis

kicked a challenging conversion from the far right touchline with success.

Oldham went ahead five minutes into the second half. After breaking through the line and dodging a few tackles, Jordan Paga was able to flip his body and bring the ball down. Paga’s attempt was remarkable, but the Broncos players would have wondered why they hadn’t stopped him sooner. Tyrer kicked to give Oldham a 12–10 lead.

Sadiq Adebiyi scored the opening try of the second half just after the hour had passed. Adebiyi timed his move from deep brilliantly, flying through the space and able to rush over unopposed as the ball was moving out to the left. Leyland’s conversion attempt failed, but the Broncos regained the lead 12–14.
