Breaking News: Two Key Players has decided to join NOTRE DAME

Here is the most recent information on Notre Dame football recruiting from the previous week.
The transfer site is live and National Signing Day is this week, so the Notre Dame recruiting office has been very busy. Let’s go over every news item from this last week again.

Transfer portal commitments, extended offers, in-home visits, and the ongoing development of the 2025 recruiting class were all observed. The world of recruitment never stops, particularly for the Irish program.

CHAOS IN TRANSFER PORTAL
It’s been amazing to watch how much of an impact Notre Dame has been making in the transfer portal this summer. The acquisition of former FIU wide receiver Kris Mitchell was one of the major early successes. The speedster discussed his choice and what made the Irish the ideal team for him with Irish Breakdown.

The portal’s momentum persisted during the last week. Quarterback Riley Leonard and pass rusher RJ Oben, two former Duke standouts, were signed by Notre Dame. I spoke with Ja’Mion Franklin, a former Irish defensive tackle who has spent the last three seasons as a colleague of Leonard and Oben.

Leonard is Notre Dame’s ultimate playmaker, according to Franklin. His leadership abilities when combined with that make him a valuable asset for the Irish at center.

Conversely, Oben also has a great deal of potential. Every club needs more players like him since he is such a versatile pass rusher. Franklin also thought highly of Oben as a colleague and a person. He thinks the Irish are a great fit for him.

NEWS RECENT TO RECRUITING
Notre Dame is getting ready for National Signing Day on Wednesday in terms of recruiting. This indicates that the Irish faculty has been making the final trip home to see their 2024 commits before they become formal class members.

Among the players that have visited recently are long snapper Joseph Vinci, defensive tackle Sean Sevillano, cornerback Karson Hobbs, and linebacker Bodie Kahoun.

Kyngston Viliamu-Asa, a linebacker at Bellflower, California’s St. John Bosco, is one of the most anticipated 2024 pledges. He just finished an incredible high school career playing for the Braves. For Viliamu-Asa, I dissected the movie and listed the things that lovers of Notre Dame should anticipate and be thrilled about.

The Irish staff is also very focused on the recruiting class of 2025, hoping to assemble a stellar bunch. Devin Williams, a standout cover player at cornerback for Buford (Ga.) High School, is one of their top targets. Williams provided an update on his interactions and recruiting at Notre Dame.

In addition to current commit James Flanigan, the Irish hope to add another tight end to their class of 2025. Star athlete Linkon Cure of Goodland (Kan.) High School is one intriguing name on the roster. The 6-6, 220-pound player is one of the top prospects in the country at this position. If the correspondence starts to be more regular, he has a real interest in Notre Dame.
