Good News: Broncos have sign a talented free agent

There are still a number of quarterback possibilities accessible through trade or free agency.
ENGLEWOOD, Colorado It’s okay to give Jarrett Stidham the advantage as the starting quarterback.

However, Brock Osweiler was Peyton Manning’s backup quarterback.

Sam Darnold, a free agency quarterback, was shown interest by the Broncos on Monday, the first day of the negotiation window. However, the Broncos objected to his $10 million demand. According to people with knowledge of the matter, Darnold was much more interested in the Minnesota Vikings and everything they had to offer than the Broncos, who are obviously in a transitional phase after Russell Wilson’s trade and the ensuing dead-cap fallout.

The Vikings and Darnold agreed to a $10 million, one-year contract.

Another backup option, Jacoby Brissett, returned to New England for $8 million to coach or support the Patriots’ third-round rookie quarterback pick.

After doing their research on New England quarterback Mac Jones, the Broncos made the decision not to engage in trade negotiations. Jones was traded to Jacksonville in exchange for a pitiful sixth-round draft selection. Denver was also not in on Kirk Cousins or Baker Mayfield. Far too costly. Over the following two seasons, Mayfield returned to Tampa Bay for $30 million year, while Cousins signed a massive contract worth $45 million annually with Atlanta.

In addition, the Broncos passed on Mason Rudolph, who had less experience recently than Stidham, in favor of a team-friendly one-year, $2.87 million contract with Tennessee.

What happens next? The Broncos may look at the six remaining viable quarterback candidates on the market—two via free agency and four through trade. Here is a look at those six quarterbacks with the knowledge that the Broncos appear to be leaning toward selecting Stidham as the number one quarterback and selecting their future quarterback with their No. 12 overall draft pick.
