Good News For Kentucky Fans: He Finally Says Yes To Join Kentucky

Mark Pope wants to begin adding guards to his back court.
Coach Pope is working hard to assemble a competitive team for the Kentucky Wildcats, who are attempting to add players via the transfer portal to a roster that is almost entirely devoid of players.

Amari Williams, a former great at Drexel, decided to play at Kentucky on Sunday night, providing the Wildcats with a top-notch defender down low.
A new guest recently arrived on campus; last season, he played for Coach Pope at BYU.

Guard Richie Saunders, who shot 36.4% from three previous season, averaged 9.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists for the Cougars.

Saunders has a strong work ethic and has received great praise from Coach Pope; he seems like the ideal complement to the team.

A crystal ball predicting Saunders to transfer and play for the Kentucky Wildcats has been recorded in 247Sports.
Saunders may be the next former Cougar to move to Lexington; coach Pope personally picked him up from the airport last night.

The 6’5 guard would be ideal as a sixth man, entering the game and creating plays while the starters take a break, if Saunders decides to complete his collegiate career in Lexington.

Saunders seems quite likely to decide to follow Coach Pope to Lexington, and as he is presently in town on a visit, it wouldn’t be shocking to see a commitment made here shortly.

In his first season as Kentucky’s head basketball coach, Coach Pope appears to be building a team lead by veterans as he is beginning to get players on board.
