What a Historic Sighning: Oklahoman football has finally hijacked him from rivals

Since the spring window opened, three players for OU football have entered the transfer site.

The timeframe for the transfer portal is open from April 16 through April 30. After that deadline, players can still select their destination or go back to school; all they need to do is get their name added to the database by April 30.

Wagoner, Jasiah, cornerback
According to a report from 247Sports, sophomore cornerback Jasiah Wagoner is going via the transfer portal.
Wagoner’s injury kept him out of the 2023 season for a large portion of the first half. He made seven appearances in games.
Louisville defensive lineman Jermayne Lole

Jermayne Lole, a former defensive lineman for Louisville, told On3 on Monday that he had committed to Oklahoma.

With the Cardinals and Arizona State, the 6-foot-3, 310-pound lineman recorded 41 career games with 142 tackles and 12.5 sacks. On April 20, during the Sooners’ spring game, Lole paid Norman a visit.

SMU offensive center Branson Hickman
former offensive lineman for SMU On Sunday, Branson Hickman told On3 that he will be moving to Oklahoma.

The 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive lineman was ranked No. 2 among interior offensive linemen in the spring portal window by 247Sports. Hickman began 33 games in his Mustangs career as a starter, and in 2023 he was chosen for the All-AAC team.

Hickman paid Norman a visit during Saturday’s Sooners spring game.
Defense back Justin Harrington

According to sources on April 19, sixth-year defensive back Justin Harrington plans to use the transfer portal.

Harrington played at OU for four seasons. During that period, he made 19 appearances, starting two of them. He totaled 29 tackles and two interceptions.

OU needs to find someone else to take Harrington’s place as the cheetah. This comprises athletes including Peyton Bowen, Dasan McCullough, and Kendel Dolby.

Linebacker Reed DeQuasie
On April 17, redshirt freshman linebacker Reed DeQuasie declared his plan to use the transfer portal.

In 2023, the nephew of former Carl Albert High School standout and OU linebacker Brent DeQuasie played in three games. The Sooners’ deep linebacker group made it more improbable that DeQuaise would play in 2024.
