Notes for the Dodgers: Eduardo Quintero, Dalton Rushing, and Alexander Albertus
Taking a look at three Dodgers minor league standout hitters

Aside from the daily recaps of games played, let’s take a closer look at a couple Dodgers minor league players.

For Double-A Tulsa, Dalton Rushing is on fire. In his last 13 games, he has seven multi-hit games, hitting.346/.443/.654 with four home runs and four doubles. During that hot streak, he increased his OPS by 84 points and his seasonal batting average by 33 points.

With 46 games played for the Drillers this season, Rushing has a 153 wRC+, nine home runs, ten doubles, and a 19.1% strikeout rate. He discussed his time as a fellow Louisville product playing behind Henry Davis in college and his current role as a catcher in the Dodgers system with Gerard Gilberto of MiLB.com. Will Smith agreed to a ten-year deal in

Out of the five Dodgers minor league players, only Andy Pages, who has been in the big for two months, has a greater wRC+ this season than Rushing. Two of the other players are Arizona adolescents, and Geoff Pontes of Baseball America highlighted each of them on Wednesday as exceptional complex league prospects.

First up is 18-year-old center fielder Eduardo Quintero, who was signed by Venezuela in 2023 (as a catcher). With a 161 wRC+, three home runs, three doubles, two triples, and nine stolen bases, he is hitting.348/.478/.522, leading the Dodgers ACL squad in runs scored with 30 in 27 games.

Additionally, his batted-ball data is impressive.

Pontes stated, “His contact skills, in particular, are impressive, as he rarely expands with a 16.6% chase rate and only misses on 12.3% of pitches he swings at in the zone.” When you combine it with a centerfield profile, 106.6 mph 90th percentile exit velocity, and a.381 xwOBAcon, you have one of the most fascinating players who hasn’t yet played in the regular season. Quintero appears to be the most gifted analyst of all the players on this list.
