DEAL DONE: Celtic have agree on key player for……

Willie Miller urges Celtic to make ‘a great move’ with summer transfer ‘no-brainer’

Despite being linked to several players already this summer, Celtic are still to make their first signing since the transfer window officially opened on Friday.

Rumours have been circulating about the possibility of Brendan Rodgers bringing Kieran Tierney to the club as well as looking at Swiss international goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo.

And although it’s still very early days, Rodgers is still waiting to make that first announcement that will tell the Celtic fans he is starting to build a squad for the season ahead.

But as they wait, former Aberdeen hero, Willie Miller, has urged Celtic to make a transfer ‘no-brainer’ and sign a player who is currently at the Euros with Scotland.

Celtic told to sign Scott McKenna

The Pittodrie legend was talking up Scott McKenna as a ‘great move for Celtic’ after he watched the 27-year-old progress through the Aberdeen youth ranks.

Miller said [The Celtic Way], “Any player coming through from the development squad and who manages to make it into the first team at Aberdeen usually has good habits and is brought up with them.

“I am sure Celtic players are brought up the same way but looking at the kind of person that Scott is if he does sign for Celtic then he is not going to cause you any trouble and he is going to give you everything that he has got.

“He is a 100 per cent type player and he possesses a lot of ability and fantastic pace. He has developed into a real asset to anybody who can persuade him to join their club this summer.
